With nearly a decade of experience, Maddie began perfecting the art of braiding in Calgary, driven by her passion for creating stunning, versatile styles. Two years ago, she brought her craft to Vancouver, where she continues to transform hair into art.

Before you book.
A few clear policies help every appointment feel calm, prepared, and respectful of Maddie's studio time.
How much is the deposit? +
A deposit is required before your appointment is confirmed. The deposit is $50 for natural hair, cornrows, or anything valued at $100 or less. For everything else, including all BoHo Braids, the deposit is $100.
Is my deposit refundable? +
Deposits are non-refundable. With at least 24 hours notice, your deposit can be transferred to a future appointment. With less than 24 hours notice, the deposit is forfeited and 50% of the appointment cost is charged.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept cash or card. We kindly ask that clients do not send e-transfer as a standard payment method.
What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy? +
We kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations or reschedules under 24 hours forfeit the deposit and are charged 50% of the appointment cost.
What happens if I am late? +
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may incur a late fee, handled in person.
What happens if I no-show? +
No-shows lose the ability to book future appointments. We kindly ask that you reach out as early as possible if something changes.
How should I prepare my hair? +
Please arrive with your hair manageable and combable. All services include a wash, and Maddie will wash, detangle, prep, and style during your appointment.

MJ Beauty is located at 891 Helmcken St, inside OStudios in Yaletown, Vancouver, BC.
What are the studio hours? +
Appointments are available Sunday through Thursday, with a 9 AM start and a 7 PM target end-of-day.
